First of all, I can't BELIEVE it's July 1st already, what the heck?! Where has the summer gone? Thank goodness we have two more months, phew!
I am back at work now after what turned out to be an amazing day yesterday. I got up around 8:30, took the pup for a LONG walk, came back, made breakfast, basically cleaned the entire house (it's what I do when I am nervous or anxious) and finally went to the testing site at 12:15. They let me sit early which is a good thing because I couldn't have learned anything in that last half hour anyway, and a mere 2 hours later I saw my score and had to stop myself from jumping up and down and screaming. There are tons of other people taking tons of other tests at these facilities, so I had to keep my cool until I was outside of the building. Then I called and texted a bunch of people and went to Mr. Pit's office to surprise him with my good news.
Sidenote: Prep-E Girl Erin asked me what LEED is. LEED is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and the test is given by the USGBC and GBCI (the U.S. Green Building Council and the Green Building Certification Insitute) Since a lot of new construction these days is 'green' and everyone wants to be environmentally responsible, it is a BIG deal to build green, and to build LEED (not necessary one in the same). LEED takes specific principles and strategies and applies them to a new or renovated buildings, and you have to earn credits to gain LEED certification and professionals who work on the project team need to be accredited in order to help the process along. So, that's what I've been studying the last 3 months, and I am so glad it's over!
So, on to the rest of the night...then we went to King of Prussia to check out the Apple store for my new computer. I did however, get sidetracked for a half hour at David Yurman (which is 2 doors down, with only Coach in between, it's nearly impossible to get through there!). I found some BEAUTIFUL jewelry that I had a great time trying on, but we decided that the computer would be a better 'prize' since we can use it every day and it will actually help us rather than sit pretty on my finger (OMG though, I am now obsessing about THIS ring)
Anyways, we went into Apple which was CRAZY crowded and ended up making a personal shopping appointment for later and went to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen- yum! We then went back to Apple at 8 and 1 hour later we left with a new MacBook, a new iPod Touch and lot's of warranties and help services as I have to transfer all my iTunes from my Dell to my Mac which I am told isn't the easiest process...so, I am the proud owner of a Mac and can't wait to really get into it. It hooked right up to our wireless last night so I can sit in the living room and be on the computer, something I've ALWAYS wanted to be able to do :)
I also ended up getting a new chain for my new monogram necklace as well as a fabulous purple dress for the wedding we're going to in 3 weeks. What a night!
I hope your nights were as good as mine was!
Two more days of work and then a 4 day weekend, yahoo!!!
