A Saturday...at work

Hi all,
so I am sitting here all alone in this huge construction trailer and so far the day is going really well. The carpenter foreman was nice enough to open the gate for me, and I brought him a bagel as a reward and he was quite thankful. All seems to be going well, the laborers are doing lots of clean up, the carpenters are finishing up drywalling the stairwells and the electricians are working on lights up on the 3rd and 4th floors...so far everything is going swimmingly .

The weather is nice, and I have actually gotten a TON accomplished this morning. It's amazing what you can do when you aren't distracted by phone and email (though I do admit that I checked my google reader first thing when I got in!).

Mr. Pit and I are going on some sort of 'adventure' this afternoon that is yet to be determined. It will probably end up with us somewhere near Mecca, I mean King of Prussia, but that's mostly because there are so many stores and restaurants over there, as well as the movies. I am gunning to go see the new Pixar movie, UP, but he is lobbying for The Hangover...so we'll see who wins. He knows he can bribe me with Milk Duds, so I will probably end up seeing his movie, but I am sure we'll see UP eventually!

Now I have to start studying for my LEED test, which is exactly 1 month! eek! I have gotten a lot of work done, so now its study time.

Have a great weekend, enjoy!!

Hi There!

My little brother (well, younger I should say, he's hardly smaller than me) just let me in on the fact that his girlfriend P reads my blog. She told him I bought the Mandy Moore CD and he wrote me a snarky IM making fun of me for it.

Two things:

1. I love Mandy Moore, you can't make me feel bad. We would be friends if we knew each other in real life. And yes, I like that we are both named Amanda.

2. I love my brothers girlfriend more and love that she reads the blog. She currently resides in California but she comes home soon for some of the summer and I can't wait. She is one of those people that makes everyone smile and truly brings out the best in my brother. I am a big fan and have noticed a marked change in my sibling since they started dating. Even the word 'responsible' comes to mind...and if you knew my brother you'd know what a big deal that is. Not to knock my brother, but P really brings out the bright and shiny side of him and I love it. We haven't spent that much time together (being that we are 3000 miles away) but I am looking forward to spending more time with her when she is home and seeing her put the polish on T in person.

Also, I just got word that I can bribe the carpenters tomorrow with bagels and that they will unlock the unwieldy gate for me in the morning. Score!

Hi P, can't wait for you to be back on the Main Line soon!

Furry Friday!

Good Morning and welcome to Furry Friday!

Meet Bernadette!

Bernadette is a young girl, pure boxer and pure sweetheart! She really needs a new home, and I'm hoping maybe you can give it to her? Just look at that face would you?

Check out her page HERE or check out PETFINDER to find a pet in your area!

Not much on tap for the Pit's this weekend. I have to work tomorrow from 6am-3pm and then we have no plans for tomorrow night, and then Sunday I am hoping to make a trip to Lancaster with my Mom for a gander at the Pottery Barn outlet, but I'll keep you informed, even at half price their beds are really expensive!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Retail Therapy

So, after being stuck in a 3 hour pointless (oops, did I say that outloud?) meeting yesterday, I did some retail therapy for myself at one of my favorite places on earth...TARGET.

I wandered all the aisles, found myself admiring everything from candle holders to bathing suits to lawn furniture, and finally meandered out of the store just $36 lighter in the wallet.

I ended up buying the new Mandy Moore Album "Amanda Leigh" and I am already in love with it. I listened to it in the car this morning and sat in the parking lot at work to listen to the end of the 5th song...SO GOOD. I am so excited to get back in the car again.

Amazon is doing a deal where you can download the entire album for $3.99 and if you go to Mandy Moore's website HERE you can get the direct link for that...OR it's on sale for $9.98 at Target.

You can also follow Mandy on Twitter (if you're into that sort of thing) and her Twitter name is THEMandyMoore

I'm in a much better mood now, have a great day!

Cranky

No, I don't have any reason to be cranky, but I am nonetheless.

First, our bed is broken. Not broken to the point that we cant sleep on it, but broken that 1 part of the 4 poster bed is on the ground since the screw came off in the hole, so we are stuck. I want to buy a new bed. New beds are expensive, we have to go buy it, drive it home, lug it up the stairs, put it together and that is not to mention the fact that we have to get the old bed down. I have checked Craigs List, Overstock.com, everything, and I can't find a bed that I both like and can afford, those two things seem not to be able to go hand in hand which is annoying. Also, Mr. Pit has made a 'no footboard' mandate as he claims he has to let his feet hang off the end of the bed. Now, while I am madly in love with my husband, he is not even tall enough to do this! We have a queen sized bed and he is 5'10"....you do the math. Anyways, I am kind of ok not having a footboard, it's just that now we have to buy a new frame and then some sort of headboard to go with it, and that is annoying as well because as soon as I find the headboard I have to tack on atleast $75 for the freaking frame.

Second, I came home last night to print out my invites for the Scout Home Party in June. Guess who didn't own a color printer until last night at 8:30 pm? Oh yes, that's right. US. I had no idea that our printer was only black and white, probably because I never print anything from home. This lead me first to Kinko's to print the invites, only where they told me they couldn't do it because they didn't have the font on file. WTF? Are you NOT a printing store? So, I found myself at 8pm in Kmart looking at all 2 printers they had for sale. I ended up with a 4 in 1 printer/fax/scanner/copier, only it's an ink jet which doesn't thrill me. I got all the invites printed and in the mail as of this morning, phew!

Thirdly, I have to work this Saturday from 6am to 3pm. Things that are 100% less than fun include working Saturdays on a jobsite.

Ok, that's enough bitching and moaning for now, at least I just had a good lunch and now I am off to an all afternoon meeting. Good times.

Oh yeah, and if you still like me after all that, come to the Scout Home Show!! Email me at Preppypitbull@gmail.com and I will send you the electronic invite, or the facebook event page...let me know :) :)

I promise I am really nice in person!!

Bed

I want this bed.

http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=14234&f=26612

I can't get the picture to come up and it's too expensive anyway, but I want it. grrr.

Still, a 5 day week

Hi Friends, I hope you had as good a weekend as I did, only I still have to work 5 days this week...that's right, it's my turn for the Saturday shift this week. Awesome. Hopefully we'll only go until about 3, barring any disasters or delivery delays...and the crew shouldn't be too big, just the carpenters, electricians, pipe fitters and tin knockers...but that all depends on the next 3.5 days, so here's hoping!!

Anyways, I had a fabulous weekend that should do a lot to motivate me through the week.

Friday night I went to the Devon Horse Show with my friend R, and we had a great time eating yummy food, poking our heads in to all the little shops, and oh yeah, watching the amazing junior riders! Jessica Springsteen (yes, Bruce's daughter) was there and won her two events while we watched...it was a night of great riding and lots of yummy food. Devon is always one of my favorite Main Line events of the year as I always run into about 20 people I know and I get to eat my families ice cream that they serve almost exclusively at the show!

Anyways, Saturday I went walking with my friend E, and our dogs, and had a great time exploring the preserve over near Ridley Creek State Park. Lil' Pup was a CHAMP in the car and on the walk as well. He was very friendly to Cami which was a huge plus since he can be iffy around other dogs, but he did great and I was so proud.

Then it was off to golf with my brother, followed by dinner at my parents house. Lil' Pup again was great in the car, two trips and no throw up, yay! and that alone made the weekend fabulous.

Sunday was great as I woke up, took Lil' Pup for walk, met Mr. Pit at the golf club (he had driven straight there from the bachelor party in Syracuse) and we played the back 9 and got some much needed vitamin D :)

Sunday night was another dinner at my parents house (my Mom bought a 3lb filet, who am I to say no to that?!?!) followed by 2 episodes of the 2nd season of Weeds. Seriously, I am madly in love with this show and have a total girl crush on Mary Louise Parker. LOVE HER.

Monday I came down with another migraine, but this time it was Imitrex to the rescue and within an hour I was back on my feet, yay for medicine that does it's job!! Mr. Pit was an amazing husband as always and mowed both lawns and installed the new hose holder and hose for the front garden...have I mentioned that I am the luckiest girl alive...because I am. He then went to go play more golf (I was golfed out) and I went shopping in Limerick. I freaking love those outlets. Banana outlet was a blast, as was the Spyder store (a whole store of ski stuff, all for 60% off, holla!) I almost bought a fleece, a new ski coat and a pair of bibs, but managed to put it all back and walk out the door with only a shirt for Mr. Pit (I was very proud of my restraint). I did do some damage at Gap and Banana and managed to get out of the Kate Spade outlet unharmed as well, but I can't make any promises if I go back this weekend. I also almost bought a $2000 bed from Restoration Hardware but the thought of getting it on my jeep was overwhelming and Mr. Pit would have killed me for spending our mortgage on a bed, but it was so pretty!! I might actually hit up the Lancaster outlets this Sunday if I can persuade my Mother go to with me because we really do need a new bed. While we were trying to tighten our current bed the bolt head sheared off and is now stuck in the hole. After buying a $10 specialty bit to try to get it out and have THAT get stuck in the bolt that is stuck in the hole we are giving up and buying a new bed.

Anyways, I am babbling. I will post our bed choices shortly, I need your help deciding which one!

Furry Friday!

Hi and welcome to Furry Friday! Meet Christopher Robin...look at that face would you? Can't you just see him cavorting around with Pooh and Tigger?! CR is a lab/golden mix and from the looks of things just can't seem to get any cuter! He is 2 1/2 years old and walks well on a leash and is very gentle with humans and other dogs. I think you should bring Christopher Robin home immediately if not sooner to start your own story book life!
Check out his page at HERE or go look for dogs in your area at PETFINDER

Have a great weekend! Mr. Pit is off to Syracuse for a bachelor party and I plan on splitting my time between Golf, The Devon Horse Show and napping, yay!

Thanks for all the well wishes regarding the migraines, they seem to be in hibernation for the moment, thank goodness!!

Third...and hopefully last?!

I got my third migraine this morning which landed me in the Bryn Mawr Hospital Emergency Room this morning at the prompting of my doctor.

The CT scan showed nothing (Thank goodness, I have watched enough ER, Grey's and House to know that you don't want anything to come up on that EVER!) and I was sent home with vicodin if I get another one anytime soon...cool.

Anyways, I was also told not to drive for the next two days since I have so many drugs in me and I have to keep taking them...so no work until Friday which is a bummer because I can just imagine how much paperwork is piling up.

Anyways, I am off to take another nap as that is about all I can muster at the moment.
Hope you are out enjoying this awesome weather!

Migraines...

So, I got my 2nd migraine of the year this morning, a scant 2 days after my first of the year, awesome.
I don't have much to add as I am pretty worn out from the morning and just made it to work at 10:30.
I have tons of work to do and lots of emails to catch up on after being out of the office for the 2nd morning in a row.
I hope your Tuesday started better than mine!

A Fab Weekend again...

Hi friends, Mr. Pit and I are coming off another fabulous weekend and are 1/10th of the way through the week, horray!

I accomplished a lot around the house which pleased me greatly, however, the biggest accomplishment of the weekend was sowing our seeds in our garden!

Our garden is 40' long and 4' wide, so there is a lot of room for a lot of plants, and I think we did a lot better planning the space from last year. Last year we learned the hard way just how much room 18 jalapeno plants take up when they are fully grown, those suckers didn't stop growing until Halloween!

So this year we planted...
Zinnias
Snapdragons
Green Beans
Romaine Lettuce
Green Leaf Lettuce
1 Eggplant (my Mom didn't have room for it in her garden so she gave it to us, Thanks Mom!)
Carrots
and Squash...

Hopefully it will grow abundantly and we will have lots of yummy veggies to munch on all summer!

No big plans for this week or the weekend, Mr. Pit starts up his classes tomorrow night, so I am back to being a 3x a week MBA widow...but just one more year and we're done! Mr. Pit is off to a bachelor party this weekend as well, so I am planning on a walk with my friend E and her dog at Ridley Creek State Park, and then some golf with my brother. Mr. Pit comes back on Sunday and we'll do a barbecue at the club followed by another 18 holes, yahoo!

Oh, and the invitations are coming along for the Bungalow/Scout Bag trunk show, so keep watch of your inbox!!

Some Inconsistencies

While sitting at lunch yesterday with co-workers, it was brought to my attention (not for the first time mind you) that I have a lot of personality inconsistencies based on what I eat, what I don't eat, and general life preferences. I don't think I am THAT weird, but my co-workers sure think I am!
Here are a few little nuggets about yours truly...

I love bananas. I hate all things banana flavored that aren't the actual fruit. I am the same way with vanilla ice cream vs. vanilla flavored things (and candles, yuck!)

I do not drink milk ever, however I put it on hot cereal.

I love raisins, but I won't eat an oatmeal-raisin cookie.

I don't like cake but I love brownies (hence brownies and ice cream at our wedding reception!)

I love pizza sauce and pasta sauce, but I won't eat tomatoes on my salad.

I love cottage cheese but I won't eat yogurt because of the consistency.

So, there you have it. I am a certified weirdo :)

Mr. Pit and I are off to a lacrosse game with Lil' Pup in tow!

Furry Friday!

Good Morning and welcome to Furry Friday!
This is Melanie, and one look at those eyes and I was hooked!
Melanie is just a young girl looking for a forever home, and you can help!
Melanie was born last winter and has been looking for a family ever since.
A sweet sweet girl who gets along with other dogs and all of the people at MLAR, she is a real catch!
Check out her page HERE or check out PETFINDER for dogs and cats that need adoption in your area!

Mr. Pit and I have a fun weekend planned that includes golfing, picking up the lawn mower from the shop, a lacrosse game (Go Shipley!) and of course the Preakness! My money is on "Big Drama" (both because of the name and the jockeys silks colors) Go Baby Go!!

Have a great weekend!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Philadelphia has been inundated with rain lately and I am SO tired of it, grrr.

Yesterday was great, it was 74 and sunny and after work I took a very nice walk with Mr. Pit and Lil' Pup and then went to a fun dinner with M & C at Brothers Spano in Rosemont, yum.

But now, this morning again it is raining and is supposed to rain on and off all weekend, what a bother.

Anyways, I am still riding my high from yesterday after being asked to host the Scout trunk show, and I even have some blogger interest which is great!

If you want to come to the trunk show, please email me at preppypitbull@gmail.com and then I can email you the invitation! (Which I still of course have to put together, but it will be great)
Save the date of June 13th, and it will probably be the majority of that afternoon, but details will follow I promise :)

I also have to give big ups today to my parents, who today, celebrate their 38th wedding anniversary. This is an accomplishment not many people achieve, and I am very very happy that my parents are as happy as they are after all this time. After raising 3 children and truly making our house a home, I wish them another 38 wonderful years.

Hope it's sunny in your neck of the woods!

xoxo Mrs. Pit

SCOUT BAGS ARE HERE!!!

I just got AMAZINGLY fun news that I get to host a SCOUT BAG Party!!

Scout bags and Bungalow products reign supreme in our house and I am a huge huge fan and I am so excited that I get to do this for them :) I am thinking the 2nd weekend in June, and I am going to work with Bungalow to get all the best packages put together to suit people and their summer needs, horray!!

If you are interested in coming to the event (I live outside Philly) let me know and I will get you on the invite list :)

Welcome Finn!

My cousin's girlfriend Suzie had their baby this past weekend, Finn was born on Saturday and weighs a whopping 8lbs and 10 ounces!
Finn and mom Suzie are doing well, and were home 3 hours after giving birth!
Welcome to the family Finn!

Another Fab Weekend

Hi all, so the weekend trip to Binghamton was a blast, and I had so much fun catching up with all of our friends.

The rehearsal dinner was fabulous and filled with lots of wonderful sentiments for the bride and groom on the night before the wedding. The food was great as well and the wine just kept on flowing, much to the delight of everyone in attendance. The night was capped off by closing down the hotel bar (we actually closed it down Saturday night as well) and lots of catching up between friends.

Mr. Pit has been friends with the groom and everyone else there since his freshman year of college in '92, and the all remain so close it's unbelievable! I don't keep in touch half as well as these guys do with each other, and I'm a girl! Granted, I suspect most emails start off with something sports related, but for the most part they are all really good at emailing, calling and going to see one another on a pretty regular basis, and I for one love it. I also am SO lucky that all his friends married such wonderful women. We have so much fun together at these events and it makes the whole weekend perfect when you feel like you are surrounded by people that make you happy.

While Mr. Pit golfed on Saturday morning (how he got up at 7am after drinking as much as he did amazed me) I went to the spa for a massage and manicure and had a lovely morning with E (one of the fabulous wives of friends) and then had a lunch of a spiedie and a pepsi, yum! Spiedies are a Binghamton thing I am told and consist of chicken that has been cubed, marinated and grilled, served on a super soft roll. No condiments, no cheese, just pure marinated goodness. We definitely stopped at Wegmans on the way back and purchased the marinade for use at home, yum!!

Then, it was time for the wedding and as we were coming out to be seated the rain, wind and thunder started...but...as soon as the bride came out the door, the sun burst through the clouds and it didn't drop a molecule from then on...totally amazing. (It had been yucky most of the weekend, and was supposed to be really stormy all night, so this was magical!) The wedding was beautiful and the reception was a blast. The band was hilarious (we are certain the lead singer used Soul Glo for his hair!) but they had everyone dancing the ENTIRE night! We again shut the hotel bar down and woke up just a little worse for the wear on Sunday to drive back down to Philly for Mothers Day brunch with my fam.

Then we hung out at the club for a bit while Mr. Pit demo'd some new Ping drivers and irons while I worked on my chipping). Then it was naps, sushi for dinner, Amazing Race Finale (SO GOOD!) and early to bed. It was quite a weekend and I am definitely feeling it!!

I am also on day one, morning one of the new Isagenix 9 day cleanse and so far it is going well. I am pretty darn hungry and it will be hard to hang out with people while they eat at lunch today, but I will get through it because I know it is worth it to jump start our new healthy life this summer.

Ok, I've babbled on for too long, hope you all had wonderful weekends!
xoxo Mrs. Pit

Furry Friday

Hi everyone! My test this morning went well, I got through drinking the yucky Redi-Cat stuff with surprisingly little difficulty (plus, I talked them into not having me drink the last half bottle before the test because I was so full, score!) So, with that out of the way, and a fun wedding weekend merely hours away, I bring you Furry Friday, Enjoy!

This is Todd! Todd is a handsome PURE BRED Chocolate lab that has ended up at Main Line Animal Rescue. His writeup says that he is good with people, kids and other dogs...he sounds like a real winner to me!

A lot of people have the misconception that only mutts end up at rescues, but it is SO not true! There are breed specific rescues ALL over the country, so if you are looking for a pure bred Lab, Golden, Bernese Mountain Dog, you name it, there is probably a rescue for it! Todd is another prime example of a great family dog that sadly the people just couldn't afford to take care of anymore in light of this economic downturn. You have to remember that dogs cost money just like kids do, so make sure you're prepared to get one, but...rescue a dog this weekend, the rain has stopped, go play!!

As always HERE is the link to Main Line Animal Rescue and don't forget to check PETFINDER if you are outside the Philadelphia area.

Have a great weekend!!

New Product: Bikini Bands!

Hi Everyone, in honor of the sun (being out there SOMEWHERE behind the clouds) I am here to advertise a new product!

It is called a Bikini Band, and the purpose is to hold up your swimsuit straps while you tan, preventing all forms of funny tan lines from happening. The Band itself is clear as well, so you won't get a line from that either!

I have been asked to be an official 'Bikini Band Ambassador', and I was thrilled at the opportunity! I currently have one and it works like a charm. The band is completely adjustable, and can be worked with any bikini top, or even a one piece. Simply slide the band on, take down your straps, tuck your straps in, and tan away!

If you are interested in ordering a band, please click HERE .

Summer is coming, and who wants tan lines?! Get a Bikini Band today!!

Lil Pup

I just wanted to share a photo from yesterday...this is Lil' Pup looking out the window at the bunny on the front lawn...this staring contest lasted about a half hour before he gave up to take a nap with us on the couch. Lucky for bunny we didn't let him out!

p.s, that is the library scene from Baby Boom on the TV, love it!
I am jumping on the bandwagon here...and answering some fun questions for the masses :)

The Questions:

What is your current obsession? Getting healthy. Mr. Pit and I start our Isagenix 9 day cleanse next Monday, can't wait!

What do you think your name says about you? My blog name is pretty simple, I am preppy and own a pitbull (he's a mix really, but he has this super cute pitty smile that I adore). My real name, Amanda, means "worthy of love" :)

Who was the last person you hugged? Lil' Pup as I was walking out the door :)

What’s your favorite dinner? oh gosh, there is more than one...sushi from Sushi Land, Oysters Rockefeller from Devon Seafood Grill, anything at Vetri, my Mom's chicken and rice, yum!!

What was the last thing you bought? Benadryl from CVS (I am allergic to bees and bee season is approaching, so I have to keep new pills on me and in the car just in case)

What are you listening to right now? Co-workers laughing in the front trailer, people typing

What is your favorite weather? 80 and sunny, low humidity :)

Say something about the person/s who tagged you. I wasn't tagged by Seadog, but I love her blog!

What is your favorite tea flavor? I don't drink tea

What did you want to become as a child? A vetrinarian

What do you miss? A few things, Stephanie (my best friend from high school), Morgan (my dog in college), the lack of responsibilities I had a scant 8 years ago in college

What's your favorite dessert? Chocolate Lava Cake

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go? Little Dix Bay, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands

Who would you want to meet in person? This will sound dumb, but I want to meet Reese Witherspoon, I swear we would be friends if we just got to meet!

What’s your 5 year plan? Kids :)

If you could live anywhere, even if it was for 1 year where would it be? I am currently obsessed with the idea of living in South Carolina...I have no idea why, but it seems like a lovely place to live.

Why is today special? Because I can eat today, yay!

What is your favorite sport to watch?
College Football, specifically USC, go Trojans!

It's over, phew!

Hi friends! My doctors appointment went well today, I was very brave (if I do say so myself) in getting the IV, and as soon as the anestisiologist said "have a good nap" I don't remember a thing except waking up recovery and being offered graham crackers and juice...awesome! I am in absolutely no pain, and sported my IV bandaged hand into Wawa for lunch afterwards to garner any sympathy I could from the deli guys (no such luck, they didn't even notice).

Oh well, it's over, thank goodness. Mr. Pit was very sweet and bought me my lunch (who doesn't love a wawa sandwich after 30 hours of fasting?!) and has let me rule the remote for the entire afternoon. We watched "Baby Boom" one of my all time favorite movies and since we have both retreated to the basement to play on our respective computers.

Another fun thing, I received a $25 iTunes gift card today courtesy of Glamour! I took a few of their surveys and apparently this is my prize, huzzah!
Not much on tap for the afternoon, I really have to get into studying for the LEED test that I have to take in exactly 8 weeks from today, so hopefully I can get a chapter in today and tick that off my list since I won't be getting ANYTHING done this weekend at the wedding.

I think Mr. Pit and I are going to go to Flemings for dinner as I am craving steak at the moment, but pizza is also another craving, so we could end up just about anywhere!

Hope everyone is enjoying this afternoon, I am going to try to get the most out of the next 2 1/2 days seeing as I will be BACK at the doctors office Friday morning for a CAT scan...so I want to enjoy my freedom (and my food!) while I can!!

One fun lazy weekend

Mr. Pit and I are coming off a great weekend and even the rainy dreary week ahead can't get us down.

First, I have to thank Kate at Nautical by Nature for informing me that the Lilly Sale at Rue La La last Friday started at 11, not at noon! I was a half hour late to the game and didn't end up getting anything, but was grateful to be told of my mix up! I almost got a few things, but I am just too excited for the warehouse sale (though the prices were just as good!)so I am going to hold out another month.

Second...Mine That Bird...gotta love him. That's right folks, I was lucky (silly?!) enough to put a $2 bet on the #8 horse to come out $103.20 ahead by the end of the race. Of course that doesn't include the $85 in other bets that we had at the Turf Club in Oaks...but it was fun to win nonetheless. I was asked by a lot of people how I picked him to win and there were a few things. 1st...the #8 horse at any track always races with pink saddle silks (not sure their official name, but its the color of the blanket that goes under the saddle...and it's the same at every track...so the #8 horse at whatever race gets a lot of my bets). 2nd, the barns silks colors were silver and black, the same as the Oakland Raiders, Mr. Pit's favorite football team (I know, I can't believe he's not an Eagles fan either, but I digress). So, the combination of the two made it a logical bet for me (seeing as I know little else when it comes to measuring the horses of how they actually run). And with that, Mine That Bird came in 1st with his 51-1 odds...LOVES IT. We celebrated at a goofy restaurant for dinner and came back to watch a movie and fell asleep by 11.

Thirdly, yesterday we didn't leave our house at all until 5 o'clock to go have dinner with my Dad since my Mom was out of town for the weekend. We got Ruby's take out (I am obsessed with the Ruby Burger) and watched the end of golf and 60 minutes. This is our Sunday routine and it makes the perfect end to whatever weekend we have just finished.

Take out, golf, 60 minutes, good banter with the folks and my brothers, and that friends, is what we call a perfect weekend.

On a not so fun note, I am leaving work today at 2 to go home and start my pre-scope cleanse before my appointment tomorrow at 1:15. Breakfast this morning was my last meal before dinner tomorrow night. I have to have a liquid lunch, no dinner, no breakfast and no lunch tomorrow either. I don't know what will make me more cranky...the cleanse itself or the not eating for 30 hours (my bet is on the latter).

But, the week is worth it as we are going to a really fun wedding on Friday where we get to see tons of good friends and I am spa-ing while Mr. Pit is golfing on Saturday morning...gotta love the pre-wedding spa-day not even being the bride!

Then we'll come back down to PA for brunch at the club to celebrate Mother's Day. I always laugh at this day as my Mother HATES this holiday but we drag her out for it anyway. It is funny to watch her protest year after year, and then see her secretly enjoying every moment that we fuss over her. She is actually on her way back from Providence Rhode Island as we speak, travel safely Mom!!

Ok, off to suffer through 5 more hours of work and 25 more hours of no food :(

Have a great week!

Furry Friday!

Hi all! Meet Kody!
Kody is a Great Pyrenees and is in need of a new home. His previous owners lost their home due to financial issues and poor Kody was part of the recession that we are all suffering from.
Kody is a great gentle giant, and the staff at MLAR just adore him! He is a big guy but is gentle on the leash and great in the yard.
Check out Main Line Animal Rescues site for more information on Kody, or go check out your local SPCA or Petfinder for more information for dogs that need you in your own area.
What is more fun than going out this weekend and getting yourself a new friend who needs you probably as much as you need them? Go for it!!
