Fall Fun

Hiya!
So we have been to almost EVERY pumpkin patch in the area, and let me tell you, the kids LOVE IT. We have about 15 pumpkins and counting, seeing as every time we go Little Pit INSISTS that we bring one or more home. I don't mind a collection, so home they come.

Anyways, hope everyone's falls have been great. We're doing ok, though battling through colds and 1 case of pink eye- YUCK. It's what I get for having 2 toddlers though. Oh well. They're getting better and that's what matters.

Here are some fun fall pics of the kiddos and their beloved pumpkins and other fall activities!

Baby Pit got a "Benny" bouncing bull for his birthday. He is a big fan.
He can also climb up the playset by himself now. He loves to give Mommy a near heart attack when he does it too.
It was unseasonably warm for his birthday party, so he's dressed in his summer finery even though it's October!
 Clearly, he LOVES cupcakes!
 And wagons, and pumpkins!
LP LOVED that she was 'in charge' of the wagon. She is a bit bossy, just like her Mommy :)
At pumpkin patch #2, and I promise, she dressed herself that day!
He's working on his squats here, he didn't make it all the way up.
Free pony rides at the pumpkin patch, LP was in absolute HEAVEN!
He got a 4 wheeler from his amazing Godmother. He was NOT thrilled that LP wanted to ride on it with him.
I don't know WHERE she learned how to pose like this, but, well, there you have it.
Obviously, she likes having her picture taken!
 Just smiling the day away...
Proof that at one point that day, they shared with each other!
He also seems to think he can do down the slide by himself too, um...yeah
Again, with the posing...NO CLUE where she got it, but there it is!

Have a great day!

Hi! I'm back! (I think!)

Hi there,
It's me, the worst blogger on the planet. After we moved into the new house things just got so busy I couldn't even think about blogging, or taking pictures of my kids to even put ON the blog if there was one...but I'm here now.
I'm just going to do bullet points because there's a lot to cover and I have to leave in 10 minutes to go get Little Pit from school.
* Baby Pit is hardly a baby anymore and he turns 1 on Friday!! He is walking, getting into absolutely EVERYTHING and babbling up a storm. He wants to be exactly like his big sister and that leads to some interesting confrontations. It helps that he's HUGE (I'm estimating around 27 pounds but we'll see for sure at his 1 year appointment in a week)
*Little Pit is a pip. She is almost 3 1/2 (she LOVES to tell people that) and loves school. She is in a 5 day 3's program now and it's so great for her. I could do without the commute twice a day, but it's worth it (and having her out of the house is a benefit too!)
*I started working out again and it's great. I probably haven't REALLY worked out in more than 3 years and it feels good to get back out there and sweat. It also helps that I've managed to lose almost 15 pounds from my pre-baby pit weight (so I'm the same size I was in college!) That might not mean much to a lot of people, but 11 years later it makes me really happy! Plus, its amazing how much better you feel when your clothes fit you properly!
*Mr. Pit is doing well and hoping for a promotion this fall at work. I'm really pulling for him obviously, not only for the larger paycheck but for his own sense of worth, he's been working REALLY hard at this company for more than 3 years now, they gotta give him something!
*We're insanely busy until November, if I can just get through this month I'll be thrilled! It's all fun stuff, but you should see our kitchen calendar, it's full!
Ok, a few pics then I have to run.

Busy Busy

Hi all,
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, having 2 kids and selling and buying a house in the last 3 months have taken their toll!

Baby Pit is doing great. He's absolutely adorable and happy and we are just so in love. He turns 6 months in 2 weeks and I can't tell you how crazy fast this time has gone.
He is wearing size 2 diapers but really should be in a size 3, just trying to get through this last box and we'll move up. He's also solidly in 6-12 month clothes and I estimate he's almost 18 pounds, we'll see at his check up next month. He is eating 4 times a day, 8oz bottles every 4 hours. He's napping 3 times a day, and when he's not sleeping he is a happy happy baby. He is ALMOST sitting up on his own and I think we'll work on it more once we're in the new house.

Little Pit is doing really well too. She is absolutely thriving in school and in her little gymnastics class, and we've had a nice turn around of her previously bad behavior, so the last few weeks have actually been delightful aside from the fact that packing up a house to move is insane and maddening and frustrating and should really only be done by professionals.

Oh yeah, so we sold our house. In 5 days. We bought another one 2 days after we sold ours. We move on Saturday. We can't actually buy our house until the septic system is replaced (the one they have works, but isn't up to code) so we will move into the new house and rent until the work is complete. Then we'll actually buy it and make it our own. I am just excited we can move in. The paint colors need MAJOR work (the dining room is the ugliest brown ever) but I have colors picked out and will wait patiently until we are allowed to make modifications. We close on our current house in a week from today, but apparently selling your house is a lot easier then buying one with septic issues. OY.

That's our life in a nutshell. It will be a crazy few weeks, especially since Little Pit doesn't have school the week before Easter, so I'll be trying to unpack and organize with an almost 3 year old trying to 'help' :)

Here a few pictures to tide you over. More to come!
