Another great TIME Magazine Article

The article linked below is another one delving into the heart breaking story of all the pitbulls that have been rescued from dog fighting rings across the country.

Perhaps the line that got me the most:

"A number of towns across the country have passed ordinances banning pit bulls, but what are we really seeing in the bared teeth of a snarling dog? These often terrifying animals demand pity because they have had the misfortune of meeting up with the most dangerous breed of all: the human"

A truer statement has NEVER been spoken. These dogs are loyal to the end. These horrible people would kick them, starve them, torture them, and the dogs would STILL do whatever the masters wanted because they know nothing different than being loyal to the end.

More people need to understand this statement.

THERE ARE NO BAD DOGS, ONLY BAD OWNERS.

Any dog can be a bad dog, ANY dog. (I'm looking at you pugs and mini-things, you can be just as ornery as the rest of them).

It is up to people to TRAIN your dog and make it a part of your family. That's right. No getting a puppy and letting it "LIVE" outside in your yard. That is not living for anything but a plant or a wild animal. A dog needs a home IN your home. NO questions asked. If you want a pet for your backyard buy a farm animal, NOT a dog.
