Last week I was in Manhattan for the day (doesn't it sound sophisticated when I say that?!) and since my best friend (since we were 9!) B had some extra time between wedding dress appointments (she found THE dress, it's GORGEOUS!) we headed down to SOHO to check out C. Wonder.
I had been on the website, but NOTHING does this store justice other than in person. From the bright green doors as you first walk in, to being greeted by the friendliest guy EVER...it was an amazing experience from beginning to end.
As you all know, I'm a Virgo, and us Virgo's are known for wanting things organized, categorized, and color coordinated. The ENTIRE store is color coordinated people. It's like they went digging in my brain about the exact kind of store that I would love, and they popped out with the most amazing thing. Sure, there are a few stores where I like a lot of what is there, but I honestly wanted to buy this entire store, rack by rack, hanger by hanger, pack it up in my car and drive home.
Due to our time constraint, we didn't have ALL that much time to browse around (but honestly, probably better for my Visa that we didn't).
Oh, and I forgot to mention, the back right corner of the store is a MONOGRAM shop. Yep, you heard me, you can leave your items to be monogrammed RIGHT THERE! I mean seriously, it doesn't get any better than that.
I came home with two little goodies I can't seem to find on the website, (cool stud earrings and gorgeous purple gloves with the special smart phone fingers!), and left wanting the following. Maybe Santa will just write me a big check? Or maybe a C. Wonder gift card? Don't worry Santa, I'm not picky!!
Ruffled Sweater Dress ($98)
Pink Patent Ballet Flat ($78!)
Ribbon Rain Boots in Orange ($78)
Tunic Top with Silk Trim ($58)
Collegiate Cardigan ($128)
Skinny Jeans in Pine ($78)
And in the store I wanted even more. What gets me the most is not only the colors (which are rich and bold) but the price point of everything. I swear I couldn't find anything more than $200 which is a really nice change from some of the other more expensive stores.
All in all I just wish I had more time, and that I had won the lottery the day before :)
A great trip to NYC (though the next time I'll take the train, the Holland Tunnel is for the birds!)
Hope everyone is having a great week and are enjoying your holidays! I can't believe it's only 6 days to Christmas!!
XOXO Mrs. Pit
P.S here's a little preview of Little Pit in one of her (way too many) Christmas dresses :)
