What we've been up to...

Hi friends!
Little Pit and I have been exceptionally busy this January, as I refuse to let the winter weather keep us cooped up indoors. (We've actually had an extremely mild winter so far, I can't believe we've only had ONE snow storm!!)

Anyways, I have been doing some spring shopping, and Little Pit has made out like a bandit. TJMaxx has had some amazing Polo dresses for sale, so she got a few of those, as well as this gem of a dress from Harajuku Mini at Target. (4th of July is always a big deal for us, and I just couldn't resist this dress for the long weekend!)

I got this cute sweater for myself thanks to a 25% off sale at C Wonder . It came home for $30! Since it's not so heavyweight I thought it would be great going into spring.

Otherwise, Little Pit is 21 months exactly today...and the fact she is a mere 3 months from being 2 years old is completely astounding to me. I honestly don't know where the time has gone. I heard a phrase recently that I just love...The days go slowly but the years fly by...and it couldn't be more true. Where did my 7 pound tiny little nugget go? Now I have a walking, talking, running, climbing, giggling KID!!

Also, my BFF is due with her first baby ANY day now, and I am SO excited for her and her husband, and both of their families. This baby has it ALL when it comes to awesome people to love and care for it, and I just can't wait for him or her to make their arrival! I am also DYING to know the name, but my friend is being SO good and not spilling the beans...and I have absolutely NO version of a guess at all for either gender...but, time will tell, yayayay!

This weekend we're pretty busy, tonight Little Pit is having a dinner date with her friend B, who is the son of neighbors up the street. They are of course coming for dinner too, but we'll feed the kids then set them up for some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so we can get some catch up time in while we eat. We're also trying a new recipe tonight, a slow-cooker chicken taco recipe I found on Pinterest. The chicken has been in the slow cooker for about 2 hours now and it smells DIVINE. YUM YUM! Then tomorrow night we've been invited to my parents house for a dinner party with their neighbors (who we also adore) so that will be fun. Little Pit is also going to sleep over there and we'll come back and get her in the morning. YAY for Grandparents!!

Anyways, that's our news. We're debating putting our house on the market, but that is an entirely different post for a different day.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, and don't forget to check out C Wonder for their awesome online sale (Code is 25off).

Lilly Sale WIN!

Hi all,
So, as you know, I am lucky enough to live about 2 miles from King of Prussia, PA, which is the home of the headquarters of the one and only Lilly Pulitzer.

This means that I am lucky enough to have 2 retail stores within easy easy driving distance, and have been to every warehouse sale since it started (I used to take a vacation day from work back in the day...I'm a dedicated fan!)

Anyways...so the last warehouse sale was great, but I ended up putting back the "Just a Little Knotty" wedges for $99 because I couldn't justify a 4" heel with a toddler at that price.

Fast forward to today though, and the Lilly online winter sale didn't disappoint! I got the wedges for $54 AND free shipping! This price was much more reasonable for something that I might be lucky to wear a few times a month in the summer.

I am not one to wear heels around the house or to the store, I have to be at an actual event to warrant it, hence my love of flip flops, sneakers and low heeled boots...I also chase a toddler all day which would kill me in heels... but, I digress. I have loved these wedges since I first saw them, and I am thrilled to add them to my (very well pared down) collection.

I was thrilled to see so many great prices on things, and I even scooped up a bathing suit for Little Pit. At $19 it's still not exactly cheap, but it will be adorable for all our days at the Y pool this summer. (Can you tell I am wishing summer here ASAP, it's 29 degrees here today!!)

I hope you all had luck at the sale as well. I know the West Coasters got kinda screwed with the 8am start time, and I too was victim of the inoperable website for a few minutes there, but overall, for what I wanted it was great.

Sending everyone lots of warm thoughts today!

A very Vineyard Christmas

Hi all!
Christmas has come and gone and I can't believe how quickly it flew by!!

Little Pit had a fabulous time opening her gifts (if not a bit overwhelmed by all the family and activities in a short amount of time!).

We had a great holiday season but I can't say I'm sad to see our world get back to it's regular rotation. Little Gym started again this morning and I think both Little Pit and myself were happy to get back to our regularly scheduled Mondays.

Here's a little photo after we opened our gifts...someone LOVES Vineyard Vines!

Hope everyone's holidays were great!
